Just finishing the Joel Curtis pod with Build and Anon as a warm up for getting the book on Fathers Day. 800,000 words! Can’t wait.

There were 800,000 words to choose from. The book is about 180,000 words. I only typed up the stuff I thought should go in - the 800k words - but I had to cut it down. Hopefully it’s the best bits.

I did watch this yesterday. Good stuff.
Taking immense pleasure in very slowly working my way through this. Been reliving the sense of wonder I felt when I first saw some of these images in the mags, but the candid behind-the-scenes shots are what take it to the next level.
The Curtis stuff… wow. I’ve been waiting decades to see this.

We used to pop up and skate Leeds a bit around 97-98. Playhouse, the really old Hyde set up, Uni banks (kicked out but ai remember them being hard to skate) and used to go to the Wakey (Rehab) sleepovers too. Good times. Never experienced any people issues, maybe being a friend of James (and his brother) sorted that. I think he may have been working in Exit at the time? I’m sure pre-Wisdom or maybe that’s the wrong way around.
Playhouse steps were no joke.
