It’s interesting to see how the design of those GK trucks evolved following tester feedback. It’s 13 minutes of design geekery about bushing-seat tolerances and degrees of pinch in the baseplate holes. Nit everyone’s cup of tea, but I quite like all that

It’s strange because I think one of the only colours besides raw that looks good for trucks is red. Maybe black, white or gold but you really, really have to be a certain kind of person to pull them off. Orange isn’t that far off red and I’m sure if you built the whole board around the colour it could look like an 80s BMX or something but on most boards I can see it looking really Argos, particularly with that design.

I agree. GK do this in raw, in battleship grey and in pale blue. But it’s always the orange they tend to show.
You really have to be special to pull that off and it has to work with your whole setup.
JT sure made red trucks look cool in the Welcome to Hell days and BA made black ones look cool too, he actually recently got a pro truck with a black hanger that is dope.
I have 3 sets of 149s and want to paint the hangers of one set red or black but I jut can’t pull the trigger. There’s no way I’m cool enough.

I’ve always had raw trucks, apart from a set of Jeff Grosso Indy’s years ago - black hanger, pale blue baseplate. But whatever colour they start out the paint always ends up scraped and chipped, from the moment you start using them.
I just prefer the look of well-used raw trucks.
I actually think white hanger with red baseplate is probably the peak besides raw and black. I’d never own it myself and I don’t know where this has come from, but it’s a hill I’d die on.
