Chicago 7 was enjoyable. Love a courtroom drama.
Nothing will come close to Twelve Angry Men, though. Epic, that.

ha i put the ninth gate on to fall asleep to, i thought johnny depp bit problematic but i’m sure will be fine then i see its directed by roman polanski.

Haven’t seen this trailer yet, but Vince Vaughn has been doing some really great stuff the past few years. Which is a sentence I never thought I’d type

That prison thing he did was fucking amazing. Forgot the name.

Yeah that. Really made me see him differently. Brutal film.

Grim wasn’t it. In a good way.

Wouldn’t mind seeing it for the cameos.
Reminds me I never got round to watching machotaildrop.

Brawl on Cell Block 99 I think? Something like that. Great film, same director as Bone Tomahawk. Which is also great.

Has anyone seen Dragged Across Concrete?

No because of Mel Gibson.

It’s a shame because Bone Tomahawk and Cell block 99 are both fantastic films and the director has some really interesting ideas and probably cast Gibson for a reason. But I can’t give any more time to Gibson, he’s just too unlikable at this point.

If I’m watching horrible violence, I at least want a likeable protagonist eg. Vaughn or Kurt Russell

Yeah, it’s good.
If you like the other two you’ll like this.
Dependent on your thoughts on Mel Gibbons.

Not a massive fan of Mel Giblet to be honest. Would still quite like to see it though.

Mosul on Netflix is well worth a watch. It tells the story of the Iraqi Nineveh SWAT team in their fight to finish off Daesh. It never lets up for a moment and it’s a brilliant war film without any of the usual heroes.

I remember it was (officially?) available, password protected, on Vimeo for a while, but this was a long time ago.

I’d like to see it again.

Edit: Machotaildrop on Vimeo, no password.

Stokey Dokey.

Yeah I think the link was posted on the old forum, from what I remember from the trailer it was very Wes Anderson looking but a bit more mental. Will give it a go later.

Fucking hell that new Wonder Woman film is deeply shit. I liked the first one too.

I heard the same from mates, probably one of those I’d watch when it’s on normal tv.

I did watch this the other day and really enjoyed it. Lots of small storylines all linked with good cameos.
Well worth it if you got the time as it’s not a fast pace.

If you think you might enjoy Midnight Sky, save yourself two hours and just don’t.

Yeah, Midnight Sky and Wonder Woman '84 both blew it. I was looking forward to those, too.

Yeah really not great both of those. Midnight Sky kept on promising to get good but never did and then just got even worse.
