can’t fucking believe that chelsea penno, should’ve been a yellow for werner

One angle was stonewall, the other was the most blatant dive ever, you’d think this is what VAR was for

Balls, was right-ish…

I can get the slight panic for the 2nd goal (his first mistake), but can’t work out why Alcantara passed it back to Alisson for the 3rd, knowing there was nowhere to play it. Seemed he was put under pressure by a poor back pass. 4th goal, well, stand up.

Roy Keane was right in his post-match analysis - stop making excuses, just get on with it… Perform like champions, but if you perform like that it’ll be another 30 years before the next title.

Sorry @ciaran been baiting you for a reply.

Always honest and logical FFS even in this thread.

ha, yeah, title defence is gone unfortunately. Next season though…!

Avoided this City v Liverpool chat so as not to jinx.
Foden is shit hot.

I get that football is tribal and for some people it’s an obsessively big part of their life but threatening a man’s family because of the decisions he made on a football pitch is utterly pathetic

Regardless of his decisions on the pitch nobody deserves that.

On the other side of the conversation the fact his last 2 red’s have been rescinded really shows how big the problem is with reffing right now. And that’s not just Mike Dean, but across the board at this point. No consistency, and as I said before there is becoming a strange arrogance with a lot of refs. Bringing in former refs to “analyse” the decisions on tv doesn’t help either, when all they do is agree with everything that was decided which winds people up more.

Be interesting to see if he comes back to the game at all, I imagine he will but doubt it will be just one week out.

Glad its been rescinded. Death threats are weak. I actually quite like watching football with out the fans. Nothing worse than seeing a 50 year old man baby screaming abuse at players and refs like its life and death , its the part I hate most about football apart from seeing John Terry

The problem is, any disgruntled twat can sign up for a social media account and use it to anonymously hurl disgusting racist/sexual/etc abuse (or in this case send death threats) to anyone in the world, with complete impunity.

I don’t know what the solution is, but maybe having to submit some kind of ID or personal information when setting up an account so that if rules/laws are broken then there is traceability?

I think that’s absolutely essential, of course you’d fear what might happen if accounts are then hacked etc but I think the days of people making themselves so easily anonymous in order to just target people with all kinds of abuse should be over.

The other side I think of is how sad these people must be to spend so much time on Twitter just trolling people, what an existence.

Spot on!

When did the fa cup become a mid week competition? Is it just this season or something I’ve just missed as I don’t follow it that much as west ham usually bail out early doors to Wrexham or Oldham or such.

Fixture congestion I presume - they need to squeeze them in somewhere!

Ah man I feel sorry for Jose.

Well

Soft as fuck pen yeah but to be fair to DCL he didn’t dive, he just got clipped running at speed. Half expected Siggy to bottle it.

It says something that our best player was probably Olsen and we’ve conceded two goals. Time to do a Jose and park the bus.

Wow this game is nuts!

Will the Mourinho hand to ear gif have to be used? That is the question.
