Yeah I’ve fully accepted that I’ll be enveloped in World Cup fever and watch every possible minute of football. I’d really like to have the strength to do a full boycott but every single protest, petition or political movement I’ve been a part of has all been to the grand sum of fuck all and I’ve reached saturation point. “Belligerently apathetic” is probably the best way to describe my opinion on it.

Predictions for the winner and top scorer?
France now have Benzema, Kante, Pogba and others all out. Did fancy them but not so sure now.
Argentina (unbeaten since 2019?! and in 35 games) and Brazil still looking hot shit.
Germany a bit young/unproven compared to previous tournaments. Similar with Spain.

So hard to predict the winners this year. I’d say Argentine are a good bet. As for top scorer it could be anyone really. Might put a bet on somebody random like Havertz.
Lukaku not played properly for ages but they have KDB.
Depay gets to play Qatar, Senegal (without Mane) and Ecuador then possibly Wales or USA and is 25/1 for top scorer.
