Yeah the additional time this season is…odd…really suits teams that are chasing and I feel it changes the dynamic a lot
It should be limited and it should be able to overrule the ref making a proper mistake. It shouldn’t be making a yellow into a red or any of that bollox unless the ref has missed a player punching out someone etc

Nah don’t agree with that. They spent £60 million or whatever on Kai fucking Havertz. Such a gamble that his awful form at Chelsea was a (seasons long) blip and not him just not cutting it in the Premier league
Their recruitment has been awful for ages and I don’t think it’s down to him. Declan Rice alone wasn’t going to suddenly make the team title winners. They need some players who can shoot from outside the box. They need some hulking great centre backs with some strength. The squad needs a lot. Instead they have two first team goalkeepers battling it out in the tabloids for some bizarre reason

He’s done pretty well for them hasn’t he? Far from the problem in that squad from what I can see anyway. Selling Xhaka wasn’t a great move in hindsight but you can understand why he wanted to go. Jesus was a bit of a gamble with the injury record and slight lack of goals but was definitely worth a shot I’d say. They just need another striker and their cb’s to find their form again.

You think? Dunno i don’t watch arsenal constantly but he seems really at the forefront of their inability to score and just wastes chances.
Havertz wastes so many opportunities. He’s not a top class footballer. Arteta buying him is the only real black mark against his name in my opinion. He’s a top manager and doing a great job but buying Havertz still baffles me.
Stats for the most wasteful were going around recently which I’ll have to dig out but I thought he was bought for versatility, don’t think he’s led the line too many times. He’s always been weird to me not necessarily bad, can score high pressure goals in finals but also miss sitters.
Wolves drawn West Brom away in the next round of the FA Cup if they beat Brentford… Couldn’t be much bigger an incentive to beat Brentford now!

wow that Calvert-Lewin red card has been overturned. that’s a ridiculous precedent for awful challenges that happen to not hurt someone then i guess (not that they’re ever consistent anyway)

- VAR tells him to review his decision
- player gets sent off
- everton appeal decision
- decision gets overturned
that’s fully stupid
