Himself and Yamine Lamal were running things for Spain this evening. Absolutely crazy that at the age of 16 Yamal is not only playing regularly for Spain, but one of their crucial main players - apparently according to German youth labour law, the Spanish FA would get a fine for Lamal playing past 11pm or something daft.

For a squad that good, that highly rated on paper and that expensive to have just 1 shot on target in the 90+ mins of the game is woeful. Still can’t work out why they have Gomez on the bench who filled in at LB loads for LFC in the last season while Southgate puts Saka, one of England’s most excting attackers, in there as a makeshift LB instead.
