Rice’s red yesterday was a joke and could potentially spoil the whole season as a fun contest to watch. Liverpool look good too so far but City don’t look like dropping many points at all. I can even see the argument that to the letter of the law, that was a second yellow. But then it’s a stupid law, and in the context of the rest of the match and what goes on on a football pitch in general, it’s madness.
Yeah before this incident when the ball went out for a throw in to Arsenal, a Brighton player punted the ball way up the pitch and there was nothing?
Red card in the Blackburn Burnley game too, he got fouled and said ref should give other lad a card, got sent off cos apparently you can’t suggest that to the ref? So mad
Players telling refs how to ref should be a red card. No problem with that.
Yeah think it was just that it was an instant red when he got hacked, yellow atleast! Slippery slope I guess!
fuck, Haaland 7 goals in 3 games. Best striker of all time potentially?
Sorry, that’s a bit of an over reaction thinking about it ha.
Going to be in Dublin next weekend when the Ireland-England game is on. Tickets are still available. Would I be asking for trouble if I attended? I would not be in with the England fans.
Nope, should be fine, just don’t do what the Combat 18 gang of pricks did back in 1995
It may not be an over reaction - As an out and out striker theres a good chance he could become the best of all time if he keeps going as he is.
Big big 3 points today against Spurs
Especially when we played so average
Was out at carnival so was blissfully unaware. Something weird is going on at the club at the moment.
We weren’t bad and our bench wasn’t terrible but a few more injuries and we’re fucked.
If we ain’t challenged for Europe at the end of season I think we’ll lose a lot of big stars.
Hopefully they tweak PSR so that we can at least compete with the big clubs every season.
Isak, Gordon, Bruno off you reckon if we don’t get Europe?
Kinda feel like Gordan’s head has been turned by Liverpool showing interest in him. And with Bruno and Isak if we get massive offers and PSR is still over our heads I wonder if we can say no to selling them?
Hope not though!
Isak is £100mill plus easy. Bruno and Gordon £70mill each. I mean Gary Neville was saying again today what a joke PSR.
Although that’s two quiet windows so maybe we can go hard in the paint in Jan if needed.
7/9 in the league.
Got a nice EFL cup draw, can’t complain really considering what was going on before.
Man U fans - watching yesterday I was really nervous for the first 8-10 mins or so, and then when Trent’s goal was disallowed after that celebration I thought you’d make a real game of it, if not eventually scrape a win. It felt like I was watching you knock us out of the FA Cup again. Casemiro was excellent in the first game against Fulham but was our 12th man yesterday, and Collyer obviously wasn’t ready for the role he’d been expected to fill.
I genuinely don’t think the gulf in our teams is as large as yesterday’s performances suggest, nor do I think Ten Hag is that inept
I keep trying to tell myself at United usually have a slow start to the season but this feels bad already. Liverpool have battered United by more recently at this stage too. It feels like Ten Hag has no plan B or C. He tries to scrap enough One - Nils to keep him in the job and that’s his only plan but he doesn’t know how to keep that lead or what to do once it’s gone.
Since moving to the Premier League, Haaland has scored six fewer goals than the whole Everton team in the same time period.
