Reminds me of the dying embers of the Boris Tory tenure when it was plainly obvious that something was wrong/a lie etc but someone would still be up for the media rounds to defend it.

Took my 8yo lad to his first night time game yesterday (he’s been to a few weekend 3pm ko’s before). Bit naughty bc it’s a school night, but sod it, it’s the Champions League after all!
When we walked up the steps from the concourse into the stand, the steward said to me - “I’m not sure who’s smiling more, you or him!”
He’s gone into school today with the match day programme for show and tell bless him.
