Genuinely interested. What did you want to learn from the matches that you didn’t?

Not sure I can be bothered to quote myself but it wasn’t that I wanted to learn anything specific, it’s more that in these types of games it’s a bit lose/lose; England could and should beat teams like these with even a random bunch of players thrown together. No one’s fault, just how it is.

It would be good to see them against a top side in form because that’s where things often go wrong. Also, Tuchel is surely going to change things a fair bit, otherwise what would be the point of getting him in, so these games under Carsley are even more pointless.

Thanks for the interest though :sunglasses:

But England didn’t have a choice in their opponents? It’s the Nations League. They have won promotion to the UEFA Nations League top tier by winning the group. Which will only benefit Tuchel, no? So they’ve hardly been pointless.

Edit: wtf did we ever actually ‘learn’ with Southgate as the boss? How to stay in our half and defend successfully until the other team scored or a final?

As I said, no one’s fault, just how it is. Not sure if it’ll benefit Tuchel or not, a slow build might be better or it might not, I’d say he should’ve been put in there straight away, it’s not like Carsley has been there ages or anything either.

Ok dude, I’ll be careful not to use to ‘L’ word again.

Nice to see some goals today anyway.

More than that.

Ryan Giggs made a second career out of finding excuses not to play for Wales.

McGinn absolutely bossing it for Scotland again. Two goals in two important games. Hope he brings that form home

We could definitely do with it!

He plays higher up for Scotland doesn’t he?

yeah i suppose that’s a fair point, in the few matches i’ve watched he’s almost a centre forward at times

Nothing to do with Wales, his brother was just away.
