Son leaving Spurs will certainly weaken them a fair bit. On the one hand it feels a bit early to make a move to the MLS but with how many games he’s played and all the running he must’ve done maybe he needs a rest.

He won the Europa league last season, so I guess he feels like job done, silverware in the cabinet (finally) and he can now go and take it easy in the sun and count the cash.

Very surprised by this decision:
Hugely unfair - Palace would not have foreseen themselves winning the FA Cup back in March and there was plenty of time after they did to rectify the ownership issue.

Seems like a bit of a cluster fuck from the owner from what little I know.
Surely someone at the club should have foreseen this situation coming down the road as Palace progressed in the FA Cup.

Exactly, unfortunately.
I don’t expect anyone at Palace expected to win the Fa Cup and I think it was still the Semi’s when the MCO deadline passed.
I heard on one of the podcasts I listen to (Guardian I think) that the powers that be at Palace gave UEFA their generic info@palace email address for official correspondence and missed several reminders from UEFA about the potential ownership problem.
