Yeah as subs at Newcastle, because of all the injuries. I was joking (badly) about them becoming the first names on the team sheet every week now.

Chelsea are such a baffling football club. Hiring Liam Rosenior on a long term contract after he’s had a brief stint as Derby interim manager, Hull manager and then Strasbourg manager for the last 18 months. I’d like him to do well but it feels like yet another Chelsea manager that will be gone in 12 months

He’s merely a puppet that will do as he’s told. Maresca was a similar appointment, at first until he went and won the Europa Conference and Club World Cup and got too big for his boots.
As a rival fan, i’m delighted Rosenior is joining Chelsea and not a manager with serious credentials.

I think he’s got something more to him than the run-of-the-mill, English player turned manager:

Means nothing he’s been appointed as a yes man. That’s what owners like Ineos and Todd Boehly want.

It’s ideal for owners like them as it takes away all the additional fan pressure you’ll get when you have a proper manager. It can all be put down as helping a young coach now
