A small mercy is that the World Cup makes all the England flags up already look some what normal for a month and not what they are actually intended for.
As people tend to stick out an England flag for it and then take them back in after.

Not sure how to feel about this world cup.
Itās sort of tradition now to write it off before it starts as the worst one ever, but for this one to have a darker mood than Qatar or Russia is pretty mad.
FIFA have always been one of the grubbiest organisations on earth and the Donald dick tugging and price gouging has been outrageous even by their standards.
The time zone will mean it will largely pass us by.
There are way, way, way too many teams.
Itās always interesting to see how countries that never play each other do, but after the inital first few days there are weeks of pretty shitty games.
Saying thatā¦it is the biggest and best event sport so they know we canāt look away either.

You would have thought that the richest country in the world, which is also pretty much the entertainment hub of the world, would put on the most banging World Cup ever but all indicators point to it being a naff shitshow. Iāll still watch it though. Best sports tournament in the world alongside Olympics, even if the organisers are total bellends.
FIFA, the worldās most corrupt organisation meets the most corrupt superpower (American) there has ever been (in my lifetime anyway) and Iām here for it. I canāt wait to see it all go spectacularly wrong (Iām not hoping that anyone dies or anything). FIFA giving Trump a peace prize is already looking more shady than it did at the time and it was pretty bad then. I hope itās first World Cup that FIFA and the hosts lose money on (sorry Mexico and Canada). I hope crowds are low.
The greed alone being shown from America is shocking before we even get to the heavy handed, over the top totalitarian policing of it.
Where America now treats any non-American with suspicion. I hope the whole thing is a farce and Trump is shown for the incompetent fool that he is yet again and FIFA will have to rethink who it takes bribes off in the future.

After the initial goal that first half felt long, then sparked back into life for the last 5mins or so.
I guess we can expect a lot of matches slowing down mid game because of heat.
