Ive signed up to play for an hour in a charity match against my 7 year old and his team tomorrow.
I’ll probaly be spewing after 15 minutes. I could barely do a 4 mile run today and I’m really fat again.
The last time I played football a couple of years ago my quad exploded for absolutely no reason.
I am looking forward to absolutely raining goals in against them though.

This sounds a lot nicer than the charity match I’ve got in 3 weeks. We’re playing another haulage firm, and it’s way more serious than I thought it was going to be! Went for what I thought was a kick about as a bit of practice, got to the field and they’re handing out bibs and setting up goal nets. One of them’s 19, 6’3” and must be 15 stone ripped. Chucking out stepovers, shooting from distance with the outside of his foot. I’m fucked! My calf was twanging like a banjo after 20 minutes and my feet might as well have been made of blancmange.
I really, really enjoyed myself. Can’t wait for the game haha

The kids were moaning that I was the most annoying player ever, which was my aim.
Kept pinching the ball off them and playing keep away quite a lot. They swarmed me like wasps.
To be honest it genuinely felt good to ping passes across the pitch. I do miss playing a bit.
Switzerland did look off-side, so shouldn’t of been a pen.
Decided to skip this game, not regretting it.
Yeah, it’s not great but don’t think I’ll be staying up for Scotland so thought why not.

All going on now. 1-1 … Qatar equalise in the 94 min!!! Their first point ever in a world cup. Switzerland needed a dodgy pen for their goal, they’ve also had 25 efforts on goal and not taken their chances.
Brazil v Morocco on at 11. Should be worth a watch.
