I hate all the stuff floating around saying we should aim to finish second or third in the group to get a better draw for the KO stages. 100% how we end up with egg on our faces and trousers round our ankles. I hope the media saying Croatia are all past it and weāre favourite are right, but like many others here Iām dead nervous.
All the games Iāve seen so far have been as good as the build up was underwhelming. Some cracking performances from lower-ranked teams, even if the results havenāt always reflected that. Franceās scoreline last night was massively flattering. They looked miles off it for huge swathes of the game, to the point where opposite to Neddy Iāve written them off!
