Like every policy (Brexit for a biggy and northern rail lines for recent) they know that once the seed of an idea hits someone, they will cling to it and hopefully base their vote on it. Especially people that don’t follow anything political, they hear the buzzword, agree with it and don’t care about the details or logistics. Then later, it’s forgotten or replaced by a different one and it matters not that it doesn’t actually happen.
Sunak knows National service is a non starter, it never was.

Clueless virtue signalling,
How you going to vote for a pro environmental party that decries any restrictions on immigration but who also block the building of new social housing?

Mordaunt is an idiot.

Rayner vs Farage is the top billing right there. Hopefully she wipes the floor with his lies

I hope Starmer hasn’t got her on a short leash. These people should be able to combat other candidates points on the fly instead of sticking with their script.

yeah and she is really outspoken and sharp. hopefully she’s allowed to run freeeee

A woman on radio 2 just said him leaving early and apologising afterwards actually puts Labour in a bad light for politicising it.

If a Labour PM did that I’m fairly confident she would be calling for him to be strung up from the nearest lamppost.

Exactly, we’ve apologised so we’re are moving on. The matter is now closed.

Errr it doesn’t work like that. The leader of the country made a terrible decision on the world stage. Not only snubbing war veterans but also world leaders… yeah okay let’s just move on.

100%.

No real person can defend this.

It’s pretty funny really. He’s spent the whole campaign sucking up to pensioners by feeding them as much red meat as possible and then blows it in one go like this.

In football this would be a defender turning round and absolutely leathering the ball into his own net. The most own goal of own goals.

Absoute clown

…and all for a pre-recorded ITV interview(?!)

Pahahahaha

He came back to sort out one fire (the £2000 tax lie right?) and has now made a worse one… what a clown.

i can’t take the people phoning up LBC about this seriously. they come across as armed forces’ cosplayers.

i bet they weren’t this angry when Boris was partying in lockdown, or when Truss bombed our economy, or when they tried to abandon the EU human rights court so they could send immigrants to Rwanda. or any one of the absolutely atrocious things the Tories have done in the last decade or so.

but leave a D-day event early having spent days being involved with it? unthinkable. he should have quit already in shame. disgusting.

Corbyn didn’t bow at a steep enough angle at the Cenotaph once and that was front page news

Not the biggest fan of Geoff Norcott and his whole “normal blokey bloke” act but this popped up on my insta and he’s right.

They could hold the ballot tomorrow and put us out of our misery.

Just done some random Googles

Today’s headlines (probably): Rishi Actually Bloody Good Bloke If You Get To Know Him
