The exemption was specific to each individual student’s place at a private school, not the schools themselves. Interesting to see how he plans on figuring that system out. Or he’s talking out his ass

Enjoyed Nick Ferrari pushing him for details that he couldn’t provide earlier

Did anyone watch Panorama ‘Cruelty in Classroom’ yesterday? About the way one special education needs school was run just for pure profit (up to 50k a pupil from the government) with no care what so ever for the pupils. Just absolute Michael Fabricants.

Why are you taking this particular issue to heart? People going to private school are pretty far down the list of groups to be concerned for in this day and age I would have thought.

Again speaking from experience, most of these kids parents are fucking loaded. I mean one kid I went to school with had a Fresh Prince style pool house ffs.

They ain’t worried about VAT

The BBC were in Preston Park yesterday and asked if they could film us skating for a piece about the election. We declined as they’d probably use us for a bit about Reform and cut us in with Farage‘s big frog face or something as stupid.

Thing that’s annoying me about all this is that no one is tackling the problems. It’s all about sticking on plasters because that’s what gets the instant satisfaction and results but they are short term and no party wants to set things going and others taking credit down the line or another party tears it up in 4-8… years. It’s all going to come back and worse because the root hasn’t been dealt with.
I fear that Reform will strike a chord with typical folk because they are pandering to them. But it’s just a circular jerk that again does not deal with anything. The people say what they think is a problem, it’s a ill informed version of a problem and Nigel is listening, parroting it so everyone in the same train of thought pricks their ears up and votes. Again, it’s just plasters on a severed leg!
Please, someone with some sense stand up and say, ‘ok, I’ll have a go’ Come on Armando! consider getting into politics!

my wife does some work in the local community with old folk and it seems like reform is super popular with them. slightly worrying although i guess it’s just taking seats away from the Tories

The thought of Farage as an MP is frightening and hilarious at the same time. How long before Clacton realise he offers nothing for them locally and is just a foghorn for sensitive national issues. How much time to people genuinely expect his to put into his constituency?

I suspect the people that are at his rally’s ect be the only people to vote for him, he’s that polarising.

Unrelated but Sunak was in Devon yesterday and stopped for a pint at my great, great, great nans old pub where she was the longest serving landlady in the country.

Just had a manifesto through the door for the monster raving looney party -

Some brilliant stuff in there :joy:

I dropped a Freddo Chocolate egg that had been in the fridge one Easter and it reminded me a lot of that photo of him in the plane crash.

According to the Telegraph there are now 120 seats where the predicted Reform vote is bigger than the predicted Labour lead. So without Farage, the Tories would likely get 120 more seats.
He’s absolutely copying the Reform Party of Canada, which in the 1990s ensured a Conservative Party wipeout before taking over as the main opposition in time for the next election.
Even the name is the same.

After trying to get the police to take action over Angela Rayner‘s house sale. Now four of them are under investigation for betting on the election with more to come no doubt.

Even by Tory standards this is lolz beyond words. Hubris + inability to believe in consequences = 70 seats for the Conservatives in 2 weeks time
