Gifted Hater

Dyrdek is probably the nicest guy in the world if you follow the same outlook. I imagine he’s really thoughtful to the people he likes but his outlook and choices are dubious to many of us. Same as P-Rod but we’ve just caught him having a crisis. He’s coasted through everyone praising him and not really needed to have an opinion on anything, just skating and taking cheques. Now he’s in turmoil of losing his purpose he’s starting to think and there is nothing up there.

I loudly shouted “FUCK OFF” at my computer when the Golf bit came on and they started talking about wagers for crypto. Just horrendously cringeworthy viewing.

Madrid skateboards getting up in the mix. Haven’t seen that brand for about 35 years

Jeff has a massive void where his personality should be.

Jeffs manual to start his line was very 13 year old skate IQ. Kinda love it haha

The guy who’s sponsored by Fallen is so unbelievably normal compared to all these other weirdos

I thought I’d misheard when he said Madrid. Same logo as well

Yeah, funny to see a Madrid Lucero shirt anywhere these days let alone a new one on the back of someone under 500 years old.

To me Madrid conjures up images of a sweaty and bloody Mike Smith, looking more recapped kneepads than human, tail-grab smithing a pool somewhere. My own semi-permanently mangled, flypaper induced griptape thumb. The Owen Nieder deck that my old local shop bought in that, when after being given a slot in the board rack, was not once picked up or perused by a potential buyer and that which remained on sale for over twenty years as some kind of running joke - it’s probably tucked away somewhere, still ungripped, unloved and unskated. That photo in Radness Unlimited of Sam boardsliding the Southbank bank to wall wearing red Chucks and a beige C&A jacket, (or was it a grey cardigan?), whilst riding a Madrid deck. Last of all, without Madrid, the development of 360 flips could have had a whole different trajectory, ‘’ There was a kid in my high school… I was a freshman around this time, but this kid knew Mike Madrid and used to sell me warped Madrid decks for 5 bucks. Those warped Madrid decks, man… That’s when I was hooked.’’ Jason Lee from his Chromeball interview.

Imagine spending any amount of time with that muscle dude.

I instantly think of Rodney Cassel doing stationary backflips onto his board at the start of contest runs when I hear ‘Madrid’.
The Vans they did were good mind.

What’s the video which opens with some guy going “Yeah I used to skate, I had a 10 and a half inch Madrid. But I sold it to buy alcohol”?

Blueh. His arguing with the judges… “they fucking hate you dude!”

100% grass fed beef. FFS. And he got so wound up at being called Beta. Haha

Pausing seconds into Jeff’s first run to drop a comment.
I love the barbarity of his opening manual to drop, immediately pick up the board turn 90 degrees and scramble up the quarter.

Jeff is like a secret genius

Far too much stepping off the board. From everyone.
