This Butlers Cabin shit is always so fucking creepy.

The main guy doing the interview doesn’t talk like a human being.

haven’t watched golf for donkeys years but had to pop this on. fucking epic. glad i wasn’t the only one sucked in

I had to go to bed after Rory cocked up the 12th. I genuinely thought that was it done; the pack were going to get wind of his weakness and he’d sink down the order. So glad he made it, but Rosey had some absolutely cruel luck with the putter early on that’d have had Rory dead in the water if they’d gone in. One of those days where the stars aligned, they just conspired to make it as tense and horrible to watch as possible! Actual sporting history occurred and it was an absolute pleasure to watch some of it.

lol. Are you saying Rory was lucky to win because Rose missed some early putts?

Oh thank fuck for that

The biggest if in sport there

They all miss putts by millimeters over the course of 4 days. It’s a game of the tiniest, tiniest margins. If they got to have two goes at a putt, the winning score would be 25 under or something.

Rose hit ten birdies in a single round, which is jaw dropping on any course, let alone Augusta National. I still can’t believe he did that.

I just woke up thinking about Rory winning straight away. So, so stoked.

Oh not at all, that’s just sport isn’t it? Should’ves would’ves, and could’ves that change the course of history. Was just an observation that Rose could’ve easily been in the winning position long before Rory got to the 18th but for a few mms.

Yeah, it’s such tiny margins, but then all shots count the same so you can go back over the whole four days and there’s dozens of shots that would have changed the result. I suppose the only notable ones that they’ll regret are where they made actual bad decisions rather than just missed, because everyone misses.

Something I can’t stop thinking about is that one of the pundits at the end, Irish one, said that ‘Rory can be a divisive figure’, or words to that effect. Anyone know what he meant by that?

He’s been pretty outspoken on a few things, he’s said loads of times how much he hates LIV golf etc. He generally just seems to speak his mind and wear his heart on his sleeve. I don’t know, he always comes across as decent and genuine to me.

Wouldn’t really call it divisive, just not afraid to speak up.

Divisive would be Lewis Hamilton who seems like a total idiot.

He tried to sue Hamilton watches (around for over 100 years) for using the name Hamilton :joy:

Did he though? Or was it just a bunch of people who run a company he lends his name to? I don’t mind Lewis Hamilton, he’s flamboyant and good at his job, sure he seems like a bit of a plonker at times but as racing drivers go he usually comes across pretty well in interviews.

Definitely divisive though, maybe a poor example
