Just had a glorious skate in the sun on the first day of winter.
The carpark spot my crew has had running for the last few weeks got fenced off, which we thought had spelt doom for it… but turns out the company in the warehouse it adjoins had moved out and it was there to discourage fly tipping, so for now, we can squeeze in and still skate it. Didn’t land much, but had some fun playing around with skating fast, powersliding 180 and then doing quick switch slappy noseslides. Cannot get much slide out of them, but it felt fun if you got the timing right between the two parts of the “trick”.
Live in Sheffield mate or just a visit?
Couple hours at the local curb spot. Some good chat, some very lowkey new slappy variations. A few decent heel flips among the heel flops…
Mainly great to be out skating on a weekend that otherwise saw me clock up 500 miles of motorway driving.
Went to pumpcage for the afternoon. Got snaked by the small children that seemingly live there twice and slammed like a bag of bricks being thrown out of a window both times. £10 well spent.
Is that now Projekts? I enjoyed it there, Monday afternoon though!
Aye that’s the one
Was just up for the weekend, go fairly regularly though I’ll hit you up for a skate next time!
Got out this morning hit a stone and slammed rolling up to the curb at the DIY in the first 5 minutes. cruised about a bit toyed with a new trick idea on the block locked into one unexpectedly after a few tries, might be a Bun This trick idea. Skated with my mate who hadn’t been out for a while. Then it pissed it down so went home.
Fun skate, hip is still feeling good will see what its like tomorrow as that’s when it usually starts hurting but fingers crossed.
Good to get out.
Couple of hours down the local indoor. Almost a couple of weeks off as I’d been on holiday, took my set up but the weather wasn’t great so didn’t skate. Good really as I was feeling a little battered.
New shoes as per shoe thread but they broke in and felt decent pretty fast. Feel a bit more durable than the NB# I’ve been skating (508) but that is just first impressions. Very similar shoes and what I prefer to skate - thin cups.
It was good to be back out and I was having too much fun so the phone didn’t come out. Not laughed so much since I last skated.
Went to the indoor local day before yesterday for the old man’s evening sesh. A little thin on the ground as most people are out in the sun but there were still 5 of us in there.
Didn’t really skate due to my knees but a front feeble on the slappy curb session started, 2 guys trying it. I could do them (CMOAC) and they were learning so gave them some tips, which eventually ended up with my getting frustrated they weren’t doing what I told them to do so ended up moving over to ‘bad cop’ style of coaching. By end of session both had learned them and both got their insta clips.
Everyone won. Stoked!
I love giving people tips and seeing them get what I meant, seeing it work.
This kid was trying a ledge trick the other day, he hadn’t completely figured it out, I gave him a tip and he landed it textbook straight after that, next go. His first ever. He was so pumped and I’m not gonna lie, I was as hyped as he was.
That’s what I’m talking about! Stoked all round
