i’ve fully gone down the rabbit hole. using the mesa boogie archetype for metallica-y stuff (i also bought an additional mesa IR from york audio that has a better cab sound than the neural dsp one). then using a gojira archetype for seven string death metal stuff (again with an EVH 5150 IR from york audio that sounds like fucking death)
to round out my insanity i’ve also bought the fortin nameless archetype just for the zuul noise gate which im using in the signal chain.
my give it a rest for now and actually play guitar. too much fucking around with microphone positioning
have a look at different IRs for your tone king. you might find you get an even better sound. there’s free IR packs online or you can try something like york audio. i found they gave more depth.

that looks absolutely insane in terms of options. a zero watt amp just for headphones sounds so great
I tried it out the Neural stuff on your recommendation and the TK amp was the one that most suited my needs for recording. Sounds amazing for software and my neighbours would hate me if I bought a real amp to crank and mic up.
Yeah, that’s the one. Wicked little amp for jamming and recording. It’s like a swiss army knife in terms of features and it sounds good.
I had a v brief dalliance with the idea of playing bass twenty years ago and bought this, which then sat at the back of a cupboard after I got bored playing Another One Bites The Dust chorus very slowly.
How much do you reckon it’s worth? Two or three very minor marks on the front of it but otherwise untouched. Same question for the case. Thanks
try reverb.com for selling instruments. i’ve sold a few there and its easy peasy. also a good place to get a rough idea of what an instrument is worth. before doing any of that though, sort out the winding on that poor low E string. were you going for a punk look or something?
I could picture seeing that in a Cash converter for £150
But don’t sell it to them. You could feasibly get £100 for on ebay or facebook market.
I know it’s not much but it’s realistic.
Edit: Reverb isn’t that great for guaging what things are worth, People ask too much and it’s a culprit for gear price hiking.
Not exactly guitar but close. I want to learn the banjo and at the same time wanted a project so I’ve been making a 4 stringer for the last few weeks. Not too much left to do and hopefully even if it’s not that good of a sound my shit playing will disguise it.

Mrs offered to buy me one brand new for Xmas but I thought nah
When I was back last week I dug it out and holy shit it was still in pretty good nick, all the strings were fine. So thought I’d drag it back to Estonia but lo and behold Ryanair want 50 quid to stick it in luggage.
Anyway I did not drag it back but instead got one off FB marketplace over here. Girl was asking 80 but it had a crumbling saddle and broken string. Turns out she lived one road over and picked it up, with bag, for 35eur. Bargain! Half an hour sanding down a new saddle, new strings and wallop. All good.
It’s a classical guitar, Czech I think. Cheap, cheerful and just what I was looking for.
Needs to be re-tuned every 30 seconds but that’s new strings for you. Should be alright in a week or two.
