I’m building an outdoor skate ramp and looking at using MDO plywood (Medium Density Overlay) for the riding surface. From what I gather, it seems tougher and more weather-resistant than regular plywood, but a lot cheaper than pro surfaces like Skatelite.
Has anyone used MDO for ramps? How does it stack up for:
- Durability outdoors?
- Grip and feel while skating?
- Resistance to wear and damage?
- Maintenance compared to plywood or Skatelite?
Would love to hear your experiences or recommendations!
Cheers!
