Has Anyone Tried MDO Plywood for Outdoor Skate Ramp Surfaces? Thoughts?

I’m building an outdoor skate ramp and looking at using MDO plywood (Medium Density Overlay) for the riding surface. From what I gather, it seems tougher and more weather-resistant than regular plywood, but a lot cheaper than pro surfaces like Skatelite.

Has anyone used MDO for ramps? How does it stack up for:

  • Durability outdoors?
  • Grip and feel while skating?
  • Resistance to wear and damage?
  • Maintenance compared to plywood or Skatelite?

Would love to hear your experiences or recommendations!

Cheers!
