How lucrative is it to be a pro skater in the UK?

Which company had Omar Hassan and Lincoln Ueda as their two pros? Can’t imagine those boards flying off the wall

@navitronic Formula 1?

Yeah, Formula One was known as a wheel company, remember the one bearing wheel? They had decks out too.

First trucks that don’t turn then e-clips and floating axles - thanks Tracker.

Mind you, Larry Balma (and Peggy Cozens) did come up with Transworld so it’s not all bad.

He had a few, and I imagine whoever came up with those ads had had more than a few themselves.

That wheel was an Acme wheel, I’m pretty sure. I think they had a wheel called Formula One after that, and then turned that into a brand.

Mate, I wouldn’t treat it like a career path. More like a life skill training zone. Skating will take you to places you would never imagine, teach you things you didn’t know you were learning and give you a network of global friends that will be there for the rest of your life, but your motivation needs to be rooted in love rather than money. Don’t get me wrong, you should practice, travel, focus and enjoy the fruits. You will just need need a wider skill set so you aren’t forever skint.
