Literally cannot get petrol. Got enough to get home tonight, getting to work this week will be a laugh.
Opposite here, petrol at every station, no diesel whatsoever. This is what I get for not trying to panic buy on the weekend

Yer, its in our contracts to be in the office 5 days a week, and some twat was basically just working from home whenever he wanted and just fucked it for everyone.
That sounds wank. I’m on your colleagues side though, fuck going back in full time, it’s been proven we don’t need to. The only people gagging to get back are absolute dinosaurs.
I basically just told my boss I’d be in if we have meetings etc, or if I want to go for a pint.
But in your situation, no petrol means you get to stay at home. That’s a win!

Yer I like a balance, I like being in the office. But he was basically saying I’m working from home because I need to do cleaning etc - completely fucked it.
Sounds like a sort of open work prison. People over your shoulder making sure you’re working or thinking that presenteeism = max output. Lame.

I panic bought over the weekend but in my defence I did have some long journeys to make. I only had a quarter of a tank when I filled it up and now I’ve only got half a tank again.

I haven’t looked but I bet there’s some good game theory about this from last time round.
Logically, it’s in everyone’s best interest not to panic buy, but if everyone else is going to panic buy, and you need some of a finite resource, you need to panic buy too. Even though that makes it worse. But you can’t tell a crowd that, because crowds are stupid.
