They might as well just get a burning tyre to be the next president.
It’s not unbelievable, these people will not give up their cash cow easily so will do what they want and who’s going to stop them ? They believe what they want to keep that cash rolling . And as much as governments around the world bang on about climate change , they all still license new oil and coal operations.
Ain’t fuck all going to change for decades more
I think until fusion energy is fully cracked it’s going to be a long road till fossil fuels are gone . Our rapidly ever increasing energy demands are just too much for renewables especially if the conditions aren’t right for them , nuclear just takes too long to set up and we’re way behind on those being built .
This is why the fossil fuel giants can do what they like , there’s literally no threat to them even tho the world is heating up .
the UN conference is also a huge money making scheme. My mates other half works for them as part of a team that puts the whole
Conference into writing , she’s on insane tax free wage (£60k plus) ,top hotels paid for and €120 euros a day per diems , that’s just her team . God knows what the rest of the UN staff and delegates are getting paid for all this , that happens every year and paid for with our money , yet we never seem to progress with the clampdown on climate change and damage to the environment
Given that the oil will run out in due course, it would make total sense for those companies to diversify into renewables. Especially Arabic countries to harness solar and wind.
They are going hard on their future sustainability marketing/green-washing in typically ‘save the world through consumption’ style.
They just announced a new ‘sustainable’ resort called Leyja as part of their mad NEOM project.
It will run out but they have decades before that happens , coal has 120 years + and oil is 40-50 years at current usage, but that could be extended as other energy sources take the market share .
These guys are gonna sell sell sell till it’s gone because the demand will always be there especially with petro chemicals and the plastics industry . We’re not slowing down in that sector at all .
They’ll use the money to invest in new energy tech , they’re so used to the income and power that comes with it they won’t want to lose that .
The only way they’ll stop fossil fuel production early will have to be a cataclysmic environmental global event that demands it .
Desperate stuff.
I just don’t get the Rwanda thing. It’s a poisoned chalice leftover from Suella of governments past and it ruins anyone and anything involved with it. Surely they’ve had endless chances to quietly dump it
They just won’t know when to give in will they?
It’s times like this that make me want to rejoin twitter. Almost.
And the point in that is?
It’s confusing Pokémon cards it’s real people!
And they’re using our hard earnt cash to do it.
Fucking Michael Fabricants.
Hopefully this finishes them off ![]()
Probably not, they’ll drag out another 12 months and just fuck the country as much as they can.
Never forget…
At least Labour are legit smashing the Torey at the moment.
It’s fucking mental. This whole place is fucked. I hate it.
Cleverly must be cursing his luck to get this absolute hospital pass of a policy.
Mind you if he had any integrity at all he could’ve you know…not accepted the job.
But piffling shit like integrity sailed out the door eons ago.
This Rwanda shit is gone way beyond insanity. I can barely keep up with the mentalness of it.
Sunak is speaking but doesn’t sound like he’s fucking right off despite the fact he very, very, very much should fuck right off.
He just did a list of things which they’ve blocked and said ‘you better believe that’s blocked’. Full Partridge.
