Everyone else taking the bullets, our government taking hits over Mandelson (rightly so) but why the fuck is Trump still dodging? He should be the main focus surely?
Because here politicians can be held to some standards, but heās done away with all that.

Yeah I am, there are numerous examples of politicians being brought down by misdeeds that are minor compared to what Trump does daily. This isnāt to say that nobody gets way with anything that they shouldnāt or that standards are applied consistently to all parties but on the whole and compared to the US right now which is increasingly looking like some sort of failed state yeah, absolutely.
Iād say Boris was very Trump lite. The Boris cult was the British version of MAGA. Yes the covid parties were his undoing in the end but he stood in parliament and lied week after week until more and more info leaked. It felt like getting Al Capone on his taxes. Off the top of my head, his racist and sexist views in The Spectator, Backing Dominic Cummings lies, giving public money to American businesswoman Jennifer Arcuri, covid contracts, the Brexit bus of lies, taking russian money, taking money for the renovation of his Downing Street flat, the list goes onā¦ yet his supporters wouldnāt hear anything bad agaisnt him, the party did everything to protect him, it was just a lefty witch hunt against a man who was doing a great job.

Thatās not what Iām on about. It would be a very different world if people had to be decent human beings in order to be rich. My only point is that in the US any of the usual standards which would often prevent someone like Trump from maintaining power seem to have completely gone, thereās no opposition from his own party which is what it takes. Iām not trying to say that everything here or anywhere else is completely perfect, just that itās especially fucked over there right now.
