Whats Clackton actually like? We have some gammon filled old industrial towns around here in the north Midlands. Why do they love the Toad lord?

binface is also surprisingly astute and well spoken (for a man with a bin on his face). any normal constituency you’d put him as the favourite imo

Is that David Mitchell in disguise? That would be good.

Nigel Farage won Clacton by 46% of the vote last time, so if Count Binface is the only other person running and the other 54% of Clacton get together and vote… who knows.

as keeps coming up on here - reforms main success is battling voter apathy amongst the gammons. if this byelection does the same for gammons vs non gammons it’ll be a victory for binface imo

Sorry, can I get a recap for Farage to avoid or get taken to court?

Resigns and wins by election:

Resigns and loses by election:

As much as I like Binman, Farage nutters will still vote for their man (Trump playbook).

I actually don’t get why right wing types would vote for Farage given what happened with the Brexit party. Only some sort of strange protest vote makes any sense.

This just came up on my feed. It’s long but a very good overview of the situation and future scenario’s

Brutal.

Haven’t watched it but it doesn’t sound great. I guess it’s right that someone used to just monologuing into YouTube isn’t going to be much cop in a debate.

I’ll give it a watch. Mandani in NY is proving things we’re always told are impossible are actually possible.

I watched a bit of it. He was very, very barely wearing a hat and it did that thing of him being filmed with two cameras (switching to the one in front and one to the side) which was so annoying I had to turn over.

I should be on his side but I really can’t stand him.

At first I sort of warmed to him as he seemed to have his heart in the right place but it became clear that there wasn’t much more behind it all. Now I can’t stand him either.

There’s a lot behind it I think, he knows what he’s on about I reckon. Sadly I doubt he’ll be successful in his mission but will be proved right

Not so sure given some of the clips I’ve seen of him recently, maybe he’s just not that great when debating I dunno.

Brilliant explanation of how British colonialism and Israel and India and slavery are so closely linked and how mad it is that we only learn about Henry the 8ths wives at school and nothing about all this. The thing that really makes me hate Ukip and Farage and the Tories is just how much this country took from the Caribean on the west coast and the East India Company on the east cost. They were absolutely swimming in money and still the working classes of this country lived little better than the animals. Still doing the same shit now and we’re angry at all the people who’s countries we robbed for centuries. Completely ignorant of our own history. Dalrymple is a great writer
