The Gonz never won it. That’s tells me everything I need to know about SOTY.
SOTY is often like the Oscar’s, a lot of forgettable films have picked up best picture. Whereas the ones that miss out or are over looked usually stay loved and rewatched over the years.

Probably knows his skating is mediocre so attempts to be unique for the gram.
So glad we only had rolls of kodak and borrowed the family camcorders and just got on with enjoying skating. All bar the 3 days to develop the film , and find half the pics blurry.

That heelflip was so nice.
It’s so great to see him doing different things too, like the slappy grinds, the kickflip wheelie ollie up or the frontside ollie tail stall/blunt transfer on the hip! Fuck, the first pivot grind alone made my day.
Is he about to be on éS again or something? Could explain the amount of fresh footage we recently got.

Just wondering if whoever edited his part might need to carry the blame though?
Durao can do his little one foots and if he had one or two in that video it would have been fine. A bit quirky, jazzy, fun, inspired whatever. Instead there were loads of them and it was overkill. Do you think that was deliberate on his behalf, or an editor thinking of starting something…?
