It’s pretty clear Foy’s going for a second Soty. I’m not really a fan of winning the trophy multiple times. It really has to be justified and for me Danny Way’s the only one to really do that. There’s so much sick skating going down these days and amazing skaters dishing it out. No need to keep giving it to the same person…

I know I say this every year but it simply blows my mind that anyone over the age of 14 could give even the smidgiest, tiniest fuck about SOTY.

In 10 years SOTY will more than likely come down to clips rather than parts (maybe even before that).
In a time when releasing clips is probably more positive for a skater (more hits and daily engagement), I guess gunning for SOTY is maybe one of the few main reasons left to be out filming parts and stacking clips these days for some skaters.

I do like the way they settle nicely over the front of his shoe and hide the lace loops from view (I’m assuming he’s tucked the loops in too).

It probably seems like a dumb thing to focus on but that was the bit that made me laugh out loud and I even replayed it

Nice to see some lines from him, He can probably do anything so I think it’s good to show it, want a bit more quirk from him though, he’s so clean on the big gnar that it doesn’t look impressive any more so I find watching front crooks on rails really boring now even though I know it’s one of the most fucked up tricks to do. I don’t want to dismiss general gnar and crave for the extreme because that’s not fair on him, or anyone doing the same.
Edit, ^^^ sounds like i’m dissing, i’m not, I like him but he’s almost too good at gnar.

The switch backside grind was definitely the highlight for me too! So ill.
I like how he’s one of the few people that do actual tricks on transition in Street League, at Tampa etc in his runs.
