Edit: no now itās back at the the bottom. Thatās what it looks like anyway. Like a little tab you can hide.
My phone is a Samsung, so on Android if thatās relevant.

Yes - Google Adsense is in some kind of experimental mode which tests out various ad layouts and formats on random visits to the forum, so you may get an unexpected ad that you havenāt come across before.
I use ads to fund the forum - so you have several options:
- get rid of ads by becoming a Patreon (donāt forget to use same email as you use for the forum) or
- use an adblocker
- continue to tolerate the grotesquely capitalist system of how this place has to work and click on the little āxā buttons on the top corner

- Patreon is just a way of paying a monthly subscription to this place
- I set it up with the very minimum that Patreon allows me to charge. It was at the time the simplest way for me to set up some kind of subscription to this place
- If you wish to sign up, please ensure you do so with the exact same email that you use to login to this place so everything syncs up nicely
I think itās pretty easy to set up. Just go here and choose cheapest tier. If you have any problems just ping meā¦!

Hi. I signed up for the Patreon last night but the ads are still showing. Do I need to do anything like activate it in the settings or something - I used the same email address and have signed out/in? Sorry I had a look for instructions but couldnāt figure it out. Thanks

Yes you do @BvS ! Ads are controlled by theme. So go to your profile page, preferences, interface and choose a āno adsā or lurking theme
