Haven’t watched the Nine Club for a bit but they did well here I think:
I tried just because I thought it’d be nice but Chris Roberts is just as stupid and hard to watch even when mourning. Feels kinda nasty to say I know. Is it worth persevering with? I’m not sure I can handle Roberts start to try and say something poignant and then just stop and say “I don’t know”. If not, I think I’ll just remember MJ by watching him.
I tried too, but then they started watching his parts, without music, in silence for long periods.
The worst bit being that they could’ve probably watched it without monetisation turned on and had the music play .

It was silly to leave the monetisation on (I assume it’s easily switched off) and say it wasn’t necessary when someone did contribute.
However, I did enjoy the tales they had from all the tours they did down the years and they got the tone right otherwise I thought.
I watched the MJ Epicly Later’d last night, I’d forgotten about a lot of the Enjoi goings on but it did feel quite short at 4 episodes.
Can totally imagine Chris saying " fuck turning it off, this one will be popular". Not saying he did, just can imagine it.

I’ve had homie videos pulled for music rights on YouTube and my channel of 6 subs isn’t monetisation in anyway, haha.
The music industry is notoriously fickle from one week to the next, I’ve had a video that got a strike just suddenly reappear and old ones that were fine for years disappear. I guess this just future proofs themselves for any changes.

It wouldn’t be written by Ai but I can see the comparison in the summary, it just feels like it was written by someone who doesn’t actually know their subject properly. Just a snapshot bio without that little thing, whatever it might be that lets you know the writer is a skate nerd / rat. I guess its good the Guardian cover skateboarding stories now but it felt a bit inauthentic to me
