Got it up to temp now, doing a leg of pork at 120 for a few hours, gonna be a late dinner I think.

Made so much fucking smoke as it heated up, I don’t know why I’m so terrified of pissing people off, it’s making it more stress than fun really. This one lady seemed pretty stoked to see us BBQing though. But she’s Australian so she would be.

It’s cool a couple of them came over, a Canadian and someone from the Carribbean and they were both obsessing over it and giving me recipes. Alllll good. It’s hard to resist the urge to open it up and peek.

If your looking for a thermometer, can recommend the below. It’s become standard purchase for most competition pit teams.

Works with an app so you can set it to alert you at what ever temp you require.

I always use the blunt prong to measure chamber temp as the built in gauges are usually out.

You can download the data too which is handy if you want to nerd out on how long the stall took or how your smoker is performing fuel wise

New house means new tools. Invested in a drill, sander and a few other bits. The drill and sander share the same batteries so look forward to getting more

That Milwaukee kit seems pretty good, my brother in law’s got a full set. Love the impact driver

Where was all the kitchen chatter here? We’re just in the process of selling the first home and preparing to move into the “forever home”. It’s massive compared to where we are at the moment, but the bathroom, en suite and kitchen are all in desperate need of being ripped out. Like the house was built in the early 90s and those rooms haven’t been touched decor wise since the day they were finished. Keen to do the whole open-plan kitchen/diner thing and have all the fancy-bollocks monsoon showers and that. What’s everyone’s recommendations?

As many power points as possible. With the jazzy usb power ports built into them.

Like this, they’re great. But the UK ones you can get with the ports above the plug sockets

If you’re getting a wet room type shower thing make sure you get the underfloor heating too. Or the water takes too long to dry off and you get a constantly funky damp smell and weird orange mould on your nice new bathroom

He’s cool as fuck. Didn’t bump into Kareem and fell asleep before the after party even started. Gutted.

Wasn’t thinking a wet room but that sounds like a solid recommendation that I wouldn’t have thought of anyway. We’ve actually had some of that orange mould in our current bathroom and it’s a bastard to get rid of.

If you want kids just make it a wet house. Drains in all the floors and just hose the bastard surfaces down, you’ll thank me later

This is (some of) my uncles garden. It’s outrageous.

There’s def a size limit to what can be considered a ‘garden’.

Get a sweet mini hidden away behind that bush. Like he’d even notice.
