Just used the upholstery attachment for my carpet cleaner on my sofa. Equal parts disgusting and satisfying, it’s insane how much stuff came out of it. Water was basically black. Recommend.

Anyone with electrical knowledge - can you wire a celing light like this into a plug and just run it plugged in?

Ive done that before. Literally light bulb with wires connected to 3 pin plug and straight to mains

Nope.
As long as the light fitting isn’t metal (if it is, earth it) and you maybe use a more chill fuse (like 3a instead of 13a if it’s an LED light) you should be fine

All you’re basically doing is skipping all the extra wire in the wall, same deal. Fuse in the plug instead of the fusebox.

Not sure if I’ve posted this before but can confirm a 600EUR Dyson cordless vacuum is utterly, utterly pathetic.
Struggles to pick up small bits of paper, popcorn, kids snacks, etc. on hardwood floors. I have to go and get the ‘proper’ vacuum if I need a floor clean.
Got it because wife wanted one, and if she wants one, she wants one. It’s so shit. Like, a joke level of shit. Put your hand over the end and it’s pathetic. Yes, filters are clean etc. Makes me so angry.
Wife in deluded dreamworld of ‘no but it’s great for just grabbing and getting things done quickly’ but no, not if you got to go over the same spot like 30 times to pick up a tiny piece of rice cake.
Rant over but likely to begin again in a few months after I forget I posted this

I got a shark one. Was less than half the price of the pathetic Dyson one we had and superior in every way.

Yeah Shark cordless is now the daily driver, still need Henry for the bigger cleans, cars DIY etc. though.
