That is wicked

That’s actually the band I most want to see called Sanguisugabogg!

How to say it is a running joke.

That’s good stuff. What genre would you call that? I can’t keep up with the names. I was In a band a bit like that when I was 18 called Grandpa Knuckles. We did a cover of the End Complete by Obituary. Happy days

Aphex Twin - Bristol / 02.09.23 by user14041984001 (soundcloud.com)

Glad to see this was put up. T’was a lovely jubbly set, think I preferred it to the London one. Saying that, was down the front and everyone was loving it, so that added to the one at Brizzle I reckon.

Some music started playing on spotify…wondered what language it was.

RIP to the person who had to transcribe that one. (It’s Inuktitut apparently…pretty nice album of covers)

Many years ago I read a review of this album in Sidewalk, then in Poland I saw it in their version of WH Smith, so I bought it. Very decent.

@LittleMan @cleam.clackers

Sisters of Mercy was last night and it was a bit shit tbh. Musically band were fine but AE has no voice whatsoever - literally large chunks of songs with zero vocals from him.

The big hits were great, we provided most of the vocals ourselves - ribbons, Alice, lucretia, temple etc but man they moved through them quickly

Oh well. Hope neither of you got tickets for a date

Fairfields OG and man from UNKLE Rich File, of course.

Me and a mate I don’t see enough of were considering it as our annual ‘meet up in London and go to a gig’ catch-up.

Not only did it end up clashing with the weekend of the Sheffield 10k for me, but we both decided to hold out for a statistically better bet!

Sounds like we dodged a bullet. Sorry to hear it wasn’t great, but thanks for reporting back though.

You know what, I’m glad I went, it was fun and I had such low expectations that I wasn’t annoyed. Can deffo see why others were angry though.

Smart move with a dicey gig. See also wedding invites :joy:

I’d read the reviews, apparently they were never great live in their prime and have massively gone downhill but i figured how bad could it be. Audience supplied most of the vocals so it was like an instrumental sing along for us :joy: also, they fired their bassist on Friday night so no bassist on stage

Was thinking about seeing them In Bristol in November. Based on your review I think I’ll give it a miss…
