Getting a quote tomorrow
Anyone renewed a passport recently? How long did it take?
Ive got a holiday booked end of July and just check my passport and its expired. It says 10 weeks and we’re 9 away if I do it today
you can get it done express can’t you? which is a bit quicker
regardless get it done today!
I am sure @Londonskater will regale you with his super frustrating passport story
You’ll also get a blue one for extra sovereignty points!
Got my kids done recently - took about 3/4 weeks.
Civil service are planning more strikes though @BDF so send it today
Its the first thing on my list. Super weird I just woke up this morning and thought “I better check the passports” because I thought the kids would be expired and its only mine typically
My friend just did it and it only took 13 days.
It seems so hit and miss.
I do know that two people here took the full 10 weeks. One had a bit of time left on his so managed to go and collect it to use to travel as his new one wasn’t ready yet.
For peace of mind, I’d maybe pay for the week turnaround @BDF
On another note - for the rest of the family, do you know about the 10 year EU rule thingy which came in, in April?
That is what @Mark was alluding to. It fucked me out of a work trip and a holiday recently.
Basically, UK passport holders now travelling to the EU need to ensure their passport has at least six months validity remaining and is less than 10 years old because the UK government failed to renegotiate the deal, post-Brexit.
So, your expiry date means fuck all on your passport if you have a red one as they run longer than ten years…
My right knee has gone all fucky and it hurts. A lot.
Ow.
Washing machine has packed up. 7 years old and been used every day so no exactly surprising but still a massive ballache with two small kids
Same thing here last week plus we have the extra nause of having a tiny spot for the machine so it takes forever to find one that will fit.
Ended up buying one designed for use on barges.
Cost a fortune but whatever
One year ours died a week before Christmas and we had to wait for about 3 weeks to get a new one. That sucked.
Thoughts and prayers
Ours conked out last week. Got the bloke round to have a look. Took him 2 mins to find a stick in the filter. £35 cheers.
That’s rough, yeah hope you can claim it on insurance.
Not locked up or out of sight?
Good luck.
Im in the middle of trying to get Ryaniar to pay me the compensation for cancelling our flight on Tuesday and reimburse me for a hotel and trains between airports, anyone ever had any luck with them? they seem to be doing everything they can to be awkward.
Currently on a holiday from hell thing in Greece. Moaning about it feels very very first world problems though but it is utter shite.
Basically my wife has coeliac disease and every mealtime has been a stressful disaster.
There’s a bit of a language barrier thing mixed with properly rude/unhelfpul/terrifying staff.
Can’t wait to come home.
We are moving to France in August and repotted some houseplants yesterday, it just dawned on me to check if we can bring them with us and obviously can’t now because of this Brexit wank. We have so many, it’s really infuriating.
