Ain’t that the truth. No help for Ukraine and Putin essentially given free rein by the US to continue with his plans to keep ‘expanding his borders’. China given the nod that Trump doesn’t give a fuck what they do about Taiwan. Trump’s disdain for NATO and at best him insisting that Euro countries cut their NATO related budgets and he’ll want some kind of overhaul of the organisation - can’t see a full pull out because military advisors won’t be having it but it’s still a possibility. The Middle East situation(s), Populism on the rise all over, African countries in major conflict with war, death and starvation off the charts etc. His plan to turn the US into a despotic dictatorship…
Biden is incapable of dealing with it and the results would be a nightmare with him at the helm but with Trump in charge the nightmare would be by design not just as a biproduct.

not to mention the climate stuff. last time in power he defunded anything to do with climate change or any remotely decent scientific departments because he’s clearly getting paid by the oil nations to push that sweet petrol

Essentially his ex-wife has accused him of being physically, psychologically and sexually abusive over a prolonged period. Makes for predictably grim reading, especially in the context of how it is being discussed on slap.
Those SLAP threads are always horrible. Never discussed nicely or like adults.

I think it’s changed a lot since you last looked. Definitely used to be pretty toxic, though.
I guess he looks pretty presidential. A lot more than old man biden does at the moment. But yeah the gay thing will be used against him. You know these conversations are happening in both parties. A lot of Americans probably still think it un Christian. Even though I think there’s one vague reference to homosexuality in the bible and 10 about crop allocation etc.

yeah its why i never go there anymore except for the equipment threads. there’s never evidence and it always ends up with pitchforks and flaming torches.

cool then i hope she’s dragging him through the courts instead of just playing it out in social media. the skateboarding community doesn’t handle things like this well. i left slap when that Kenny Anderson thread started trying to find excuses for him because he has a nice style.
Can’t remember if what he did was illegal, or if he was psychologically controlling. Not every instance of domestic abuse will have police involvement, but the important thing is that she got out of the relationship and has the confidence to tell her story.
that’s a very fair point. i suppose it’s her prerogative whether or not the police are involved. it must be very different just voicing what you’ve been through publicly vs actually dragging you and your family through the courts
anyway my point was more that i neither trust nor particularly like slap because of the threads about various people and how slap denizens get on in those threads.
