OK, so to use video’s you’d have to say “Video’s a superior format to DVD”, as in ‘Video is a…’ That’s the contraction. This person was using the word plurally, but with an apostrophe that would only belong if it was a contraction of video is or if it was possessive. She meant videos but added an erroneous apostrophe, in an email to parents. And I don’t want this absolute animal anywhere near my daughter.
