How is it feeling in the cold light of day?
Xray is gnarlier than the finger globs IMO
The worst bit is my fingers being squidged together. Trying to find good ways to seperate them.
Cast is keeping it together so not painful really. That will likely change.
Waiting to hear back now about what happens next.
Not sure if I’ll need surgery yet.
Good work managing to mess up the left
Yup!
Bloody hell Les, hope you heal up quickly.
This was the moment before doom
Basically the break by my little finger is worse than the big obvious one. That’s in 4 pieces but all reasonably in line.
Got this cast on for another week and a half at least and they’ll x-ray it again and check if its all still lining up.
They said surgery might make things worse.
So up on the air but looking at being one handed to some extent until Christmas. I might get a cast where I can use my fingers a bit maybe.
Ah man you’re fully horizontal a foot off the ground or more. Hope you heal up good.
No surgery sounds good. Nature has really good healing powers and the human body is a strong machine, just be patient. I suppose you’re lucky this did not happen in May or June. Take care mate.
Get better soon.
Corrr I had a nice airborne slam like that in Devon the other month, luckily I landed flat on my back and not my fingers. Could barely walk for a week mind.
Hope you heal up soon mate!
Anyone else got pollen allergies at the moment?
I thought it was a cold but judging by how much my nose is running and the 20 shot sneeze sequence I just had, I’m wondering what’s up?
I had some tests done at the docs and it was a specific strain of tree pollen that got me. They narrowed down exactly what month(s) it blossomed and got me more specific antihistamine (iirc, it was a few years ago now).
So different people are affected in different ways and times depending on the pollen etc
Fucked my ankle/foot up massively. Nearly a week and its still tender and sore to walk on. Not sure if its age related and this is just how my old body reacts now or what.
Oofff mate ! Calcium rich food for you for the next couple of months .
I ran a test and turns out I’m allergic to pollen, cut grass, dust… nothing super specific so I’m sort of screwed.
Found some nose spray which helped a bit. Still feel mad hayfevery.
Ah I remember there was another thing, dog’s dandruff (seriously).
Jaysus man, that’s fucked. Sorry to hear about it.
Putting it down to rhinitis. Worst I’ve ever had it if that’s what it is.
Woke this morning with no sense of smell and taste… Took a Covid test: negative luckily.
Smell coming back slowly.
Went for rare skate at the local and pulled a calf muscle just walking around, bizarre and annoying.
On the last few attempts I went skating that happened to me three times. Craziest was when I skated for a bit and it was afterwards just pushing the couple hundred meters straight home that my calf pinged.
I got on both calfs at one point. That kind of sealed the deal for me trying to get back on board.
