There’s nothing there

His and Jen’s hair is ridiculous. And they’ve got a massive house with a pool on a single journalist wage. Can’t wait for the dog to die

Lloyd’s amphitheatre is there? I just saw it

Clocks going back this weekend. The perpetual darkness season is upon us.

Yup not stoked on that but at least it’s mild at the moment and dry! Feels like it has been wet most of the year.

Weird one this morning. Mrs G woke me up at 6am to say there were a load of wasps buzzing around the kitchen?! She was making some food in the slow cooker and had opened the window, in zoomed 6 wasps. I assume they were looking for some warmth bc they all huddled together on the light and on the boiler. Eventually managed to get them out.

Are you sure that your kitchen isn’t part of Matthew Barney’s ‘Cremaster 2’ cycle featuring Dave Lombardo?

Just a theory

Well that’s the Golf dead, can’t afford to fix what needs doing on the MOT, and can’t afford any kind of new car.

Driving was fun while it lasted :joy:

Waiting for my boss to call me as after next Wednesday I won’t be able to go anywhere for the foreseeable, let alone the office (this is not a route any kind of public transport will cover) I really hope this doesn’t affect my job as obviously I can’t fulfil my contractual obligations - like getting into the office 1-3 days a week.

Don’t know how I would have dealt with this if I was drinking - 10pack of Stella absolutely polished off in an afternoon probably.

Keep your head up!

Is it possible to negotiate working from home? Or a company car/lease?

You’ve been smashing it at work and they sound pretty chill. Hopefully they’ll accommodate your needs

Could you find a cheap car that might last 12 months? That was my trick back in the day. The best one i had was a mazda 323 i got for £500 which lasted nearly 3 years. It was ugly though.

This. Also you might be surprised at the scrap value for the Golf and not need quite as much as you think to get another runabout.

I need to take the head unit out and sell that. I don’t know whether to slap it on Facebook as breaking then scrap it?

I literally have £0 to put towards a new car unfortunately.

I work from home a few days a week - I like going into the office as well, but yer will see what happens.

I don’t know what to buy as a run around that isn’t going to instantly break. I do quite a bit of driving so it can’t really be something completely shit.

I’m just bummed because I had this really naive view of life around 18-20 where it would be fun and happy, everything would work itself out in the end kind of vibes.

But in my jaded 35 year old brain it’s actually absolutely wank. Just days of bullshit and constant problems that never go away - all for like a sprinkling of occasional fun and happiness amongst a steaming pile of shit that is otherwise the day to day.

Hold on to those fun times.

Work out how much you’re saving not drinking and use that money to pay off a loan for a new car.
