Went skating.
Managed to slam onto my thumb and caused a it to split open and go horribly numb. Typing on the phone is very painful.

In-laws moved house, now it’s everyone elses problem.
Missus going over tomorrow, it’s about 35 miles each way, can’t take the dog and too long to leave him all day so I said I would stay here, take him out for an afternoon walk. Get reminded “you said you would set up their internet” - the suggestion becomes I drive over later in teh day with the dog, set up the internet, leave again. 2 cars instead of one.
I looked at the instructions for their internet and they need a working phone line so I’ve got my fingers crossed as they don’t seem to have had that activated
Went climbing then got the train in the completely opposite direction to get home. Least have got a good drum and playlist while I wait to get back.

Working from home with the windows open but there’s builders two doors down. At what point did builders stop using just normal radios and start using fucking public address systems for their shit tunes?

Hot night, so had the windows open. Woke up this morning to the smell of smoke in the house. Panic! But no, some Michael Fabricant has decided to start burning garden waste in their garden at 7am. Michael Fabricants.
Not sure at the moment, I’ll see if they can turn their angle grinder down a bit.
Pop on a hi vis grab a clipboard (or just sellotape some paper to a chopping board) turn up and say you’re from HSE investigating noise complaints and you need to see training records, RAMS and Risk assessments.
Trust me they’ll turn it down

Car failed MOT. £1,200 worth of major defects and another £800 of advisories. It’s only worth £4k. But buying a new car is even more money just for the privilege of being able to continue driving to Aldi etc. Cars fucking suck.

Supposed to be going away this morning for a long weekend. Which involved getting the caravan ready last night, not sitting in the local walk in hospital with my son who’d had his ear nipped by the dog. Ear is ok, dog is ok.
Then I slept in until 10 this morning.
Not like we have a plane to catch, but still a little annoying as I wanted to be gone by 11. Far more important things going on in the world, but this is mildly irritating.
