If anyone wants to get thoroughly frustrated in beurocratic loops try getting a DBS cert while living on a boat.

I’m having a similar problem with an old bank account that I can’t access as I changed address.
‘Whats the card number?’
‘I don’t know, I don’t have the card any more.’
‘Oh ok, I’ll have a new one sent out.’
‘I changed address, I’ll need to update it first.’
‘Oh ok, what’s the card number?’
I had a problem with a site not accepting a virtual card.
‘just send us a photo of the front of the card’
‘I can’t it’s a virtual card it doesn’t physically exist’

I had the same issue before trying to change my address with halifax where they would only allow you to change the address via a form that they would send to the address on file, I had already moved.

Only way to fix is go to branch with passport and utility bill for new place I think
