Agree with you there. However, Modern Alien seems to have found it’s feet now. I really rate it.
Is modern Habitat really that bad or do people just say it’s bad because it’s not OG Habitat?

I think it’s almost certainly the latter. They have a great team.
It might be the output? Earlier videos had a very tangible look, lovely animations, perfect music and great editing.
IMO the more recent Habitat videos have fallen short and feel half-baked.

Fair. I’d still ride a Habitat board though probably. Deffo over brands like FA, Hockey etc. Can’t be in your thirties and reppin that shit

I noted in the recent Slam City Skates sale they had a lot of Hockey boards they were trying to get rid of. Not sure how many Habitat boards sell though.
Blimey - they’ve got 149 Hockey decks available on their website! But only 1 FA… What’s going on there?
Keen owns Slam these days and are the distributor for Hockey but, not FA.

I was afraid to ask and just assumed when I ordered a deck from Slam a couple of weeks back and all the paperwork was from Keen. Great service either way haha

Yeah it kind of feels like nothing is owned by who you’d think (or used to think) anymore in skating. I’m so out of the loop too. Confusing times.
It’s like the ‘what’s legit’ pool is getting smaller and smaller to swim around in these days. I mean that in the general sense.

Yeah i’ve got all the time in the world for Mike - just wasn’t aware. LA too eh?!
I used to love doing all the tradeshows and then going out after with all the other sales reps and distributors. Mike rips too!

Is Cafe in the Keen mix too? Their website seems to suggest this is the case……I’m sure I could find out for myself if it was important!
