The perpetual shit talking about companies dying is what influences people to not buy these brands and in turn you might just be a part of their demise. Why would you want to do that?

I lurk Slap and sometimes post. It’s good. And often funny as fuck.
But there are a lot of misinformed Pals.
I literally sit in the middle of a lot of these decisions/fuck ups/plans/events (delete as applicable) and rarely are any of them as black and white as Slap can sometimes imagine.
Not gonna dox myself here but some of the people that get cut…they’ve had their time. People don’t buy product because of them. So, it’s time to move them on.
But the interpretation often is “Oh, brand x has cut a bunch of riders. They are clearly in trouble.” when its just housekeeping.

Someone like Shecks will be on a fixed term contract with his shoe sponsor no? Like a footballer?
Either they couldn’t come to an agreement to renew, or Etnies didn’t want to, or Shecks got a better offer from Mark Wahlberg’s gym/golf shoe brand.
I imagine they will add a generic “skate-able” shoe to their line from a template out of the shoe factory.

Everyone who has a contract is on a fixed term when it comes to sponsorship. That’s not a Sole Tech thing - thats from every brand I have had dealings with (Both those I have worked with and those who I have helped skaters deal with).
