£160 for just the shirt though is fucking bonkers.
I know nothing about football or footballers because date-rape, bling and instagramming pics of myself with shopping bags isn’t my thing…but WTF does Juventus have to do with London?

Palace and football doesn’t really bother me. I remember when Lev/Nugget etc were the SB kids. They would be into football too, rocking Nike drawstring bags as backpacks and just being on their own vibe. It was interesting to see, and really, they kind of haven’t changed since, other than being able to have more expensive tastes. Remember when they first came out with the double C t-shirts and there was uproar at the pricing, and now we’re still having the same conversations 10 years later!
I don’t wear any Palace gear, but I respect what they’re doing, even if it’s not for me, and they can sometimes say lame/dry things about people/companies (which has been going on forever in skateboarding, but less so in recent years).
This is bonkers, it’s a pretty mean feat to have a skateboard logo on one of the worlds biggest football teams shirts, Big yo self up rude bois!
So they should. Unless everybody actually loves everything, then folk are lying by not saying what they think is shite. With all the podcasts filled with everybody saying how awesome everything else is, I’m glad somebody with an opportunity to talk shit on people is doing it. That side of skateboarding used to be so much more interesting, before all the mags became shoe catalogues.

I never really went in for the whole idea of not being able to enjoy both or pretending that football doesn’t exist just because you skate. At the same time there has to be some sort of connection in my opinion, so I’m not really sure what Juve link is but nevermind.
I couldn’t care less about football. It doesn’t interest me at all. I kind of got into skateboarding to get away from those kinds of people when I was a kid.
But I know this has always sort of been the Palace guys deal. Charlie and this gang would always play football along side skating. That’s their deal, and I’m stoked on where they are now, for what they’re in to.
Most of the time I ignore organised sports because they’re shit and I have no interest in them. If I was allowed to simply ignore them I’d have no issues at all.
But football/rugby is just one of those dull mainstream things that everybloke wants to talk about to feel they have something in common with everyotherbloke. It’s so depressing. I sometimes count down in my head until the mention of football, rugby or whatever and when I say ‘Not interested in football’ it causes visible panic as they realise they have no fallback topic of conversation. Also…fuck road closures and shit for football games. Also…fuck taking over TV (even though that’s not as bad these days, thanks God). Also…fuck forcing kids to play it in school. Also…fuck spending so much money on facilities for that shit. Also…fuck hooligans, bling, rape, Stone Island, ostentatious displays of wealth, WAGs, Range Rover Sports, football kits, sportswear in general and Sky TV.
When lads used to take the piss out of me for riding and booting a piece of wood with four wheels around, I used to remind them that they use their feet to kick a ball of leather into a net.
Both things are really fucking great.

You could form a list of similar length covering the negative sides of skating pretty easily.
I can relate to this though, I find that people often will want to and be able to talk about other things but it’s just all too easy to fall into the usual lad subjects much of the time. Doesn’t mean I can’t enjoy a good game when it’s on.
