I thought I saw Omar S’ red car in the trailer, not sure though…
Sat through it. Should have been a 5-10 mins max.

I’ve been going in and out of it all day inbetween parenting, haven’t quite finished it yet but I’ve really enjoyed it. Rory’s footage was really good, loved his first line, very solid.
Same. Too busy for a 53 minute video.
Just finished it now.
I liked the rewinds on certain clips. Pretty sure ville bs tailslide 360 shuvits with his beanie over his eyes.
In the past I disliked heitor for fake steez but somehow I really liked this part.
Kind of cool to drop a multi year tour video of one city/region. Palace hit some proper crusty spots.
Finished it this morning. I really enjoyed it!
If its a modern day interpretation/homage to Memory Screen, it was freakin’ genius. If not … hmmm.
Found it a slog.
That was great, so many shit cutty spots

I need to rewatch it. I think the music isnt all great but a second watch should confirm that.
jahmir’s hang up on the kicker is a proper slam.
Some of the music so far is shit to my ears, but I’m nearly 50. I just turn it down
The Palace guys themselves are hardly younguns though. I thought it was alright but it took a few goes to finish it.

I just think that all these skaters surely are not listening to this stuff by choice are they? Then I saw a clip of that Piombo guy who wears phones in footage and he shows what he’s listening to. Oh dear.
snob but a concerned snob
I figured this too.
I’m not an expert but I think a few of thr tracks in the video are from detroit area.

I know I stated the obvious. Just want to make it really bvious.
The house/techno stuff is fine. Wasn’t into the rap track whatever it was. Whatever. More viewing whilst eating tonight’s tea…
What is the music type that is playing on Powers’ part?
Made it to the end Lil Peep and Lil Yaughty were what I didn’t like. Who cares.
Rad vid, enjoyable. Would buy a hard copy so I could watch it without adverts.
Edit 2: I wanna skate.
Yeah the level of adverts was jarring, wish Palace would turn them off

Haven’t watched it all yet, but Rory M had a banger of a section
I spoke to Lev for Quartersnacks about DETROIT 313, the musical through-lines in the video and how the company and team and have evolved over the years they’ve been making it.
Was cool to chat to him and a nice moment of circularity, personally, as my first QS feature was an interview with Charlie Birch from when it was early days on the video.
“Ville’s my gateway for emo … I guess I’ve become a bit of a mosher later in life.”
