At my wife’s works do and after a few different rmdeinks tried a bottle of worthingtons. It tastes like arse on toast.
Has anyone here sold vinyl on Discogs? I’ve got 700 to shift but looking at the whole rating system plus how anal the collectors get about precise quality standards it looks like more hassle than it’s worth. Can’t be bothered arguing about a rating all day with record nerds who’re just going to store it away on a shelf.
Is it basically that unless you’re selling rare shit that’ll stand out and make some decent money then not bother?
I’d say just sell the high value ones at first and see how much of a hassle it is. I sold a few in the 20-30 quid range, some sold in a couple of hours. Work out your postage first off and get some mailers

1975-2006 funky house, hip hop and breakbeat mainly
What kind of breakbeat? Any hardcore or jungle?
If you do decide to sell them in one go try Flashback records, they pay more than most from what I can tell. If you’re near London
Actually more big beat than breakbeat (sadly, was OK at the time)

Sold a load of expensive records on Discogs. It’s a pain in the arse having to go to the post office every couple of days rather than selling them all at once though.
Some twat returned one because he disagreed with the rating and I’d already spent the £80 so had to make excuses for a bit to him, then eventually got my invoice through and it’s was ridiculous. They take 8% or something. So I didn’t pay it and got kicked off.
It’s quite satisfying selling them into a shop you like. And more so seeing your mates buy them from there…
You may find that genre has not aged well in terms of value…

I ended up skipping about 450 12”s a few years ago. All genre that hadn’t aged well and there was no chance I’d ever listen again. Obvs checked on discogs and there were very few over £5 so couldn’t be bothered listing them. Someone had all of them out of the skip the next day though, so maybe they got some pleasure out of them?
yeah i think try and sell the best ones seperately and do the rest as a job lot on ebay if you dont have a record shop that will take them, if the alternative is binning the whole lot then might as well try to sell them in one go even if for a low amount.
what era of hip hop?
there are a few places that will travel to pick up whole collections but maybe not for big beat…

You can pay a couple of quid for the ads to go away.
