this is serious shit. Milk first?!

Putting boiling water on milk will start cooking it even before the tea starts to infuse. :face_vomiting:

Controversial possibly for a number of reasons but when making instant coffee it’s milk first, always.

Weird. Milk last. Always.

Instant coffee, lol.

Not controversial in my eyes.
My logic here is that it stops the boiling water scorching the coffee granules.
Not sure if that’s something I’ve made up but it does result in a better coffee with the milk going in first.

It also stops the granules from dissolving properly. You always get loads swirling around on the surface if the milk is in first.

Not true.
Stir better.
I also knock the kettle off before reaching full boil, before it switches itself off at full boil.

I don’t drink either but grew up making them both, like some oppressed teasmade.
never milk first, for all the reasons above but simply, you can see the the colour of the drink it needs to be and you always hit the right level for the right amount of milk to follow. Perfect, strong consistent drink.
Mate I work with bangs on about milk first in coffee as he likes to make and emulsion first then waters down. Bullshit.

It is true, informed by extensive experience! When milk is in last, you never get floating granules.

Mrs insists on putting eggs in the fridge. Even though we go through like 3 racks a week.

Aka, the Ghettocino.
Espresso or Americano. Strong, warm, black. Done.

No.
Just no.

I recently discovered that Nescafé Azera Espresso stuff, and its actually genuinely nice. I’m a bit of a coffee snob but if I can’t be arsed to use the machine or if I’m at work then that’s stuff is great.

Gevalia, dark roast. Mmmmmm

My rule is if you don’t buy it from the fridge in a shop, why would you put in one at home?

missus puts all the sauces in the fridge, I would never do that but I don’t have any of them only HP brown on cheese on toast so I don’t care. it is weird though. Anyone else do it?
woah, got to take off auto correct, it changed sauces to races.

As long as you’re putting all races in the fridge and not one, you’re safe!

Bread.
I put bread in the fridge.
Lasts much longer once it’s been opened.

innit

Milk first with instant but that’s an office thing only. Got a Dulci Gusto machine at home for like £20 and it makes amazing coffee.

Not good for environment though with those plastic gubbins.
