Pointless Topics

Not (though probably am) being a culture snob, but on University Challenge Christmas special just now, none of them knew who Jimi Hendrix was, and they thought Janis Joplin was Tina Turner. Bear in mind one of the guests is a radio host on BBC Radio 3…

Even worse, in the art round they guessed Renoir for Goya, and Van Dyck for Velazquez.

The ‘celebrity’ questions are always much easier too. Ridiculous.

Savages.

If I was a manager at the BBC I’d be raising that in their performance appraisals. That’s poor.

I think the one I linked can be used as a round rail and as a ledge too. It’s rad but expensive. Thanks for the tip, got a mate who might be able to weld one for me.

“Give it some form of decoration.”

Just to clarify when I said fuck a square rail I just meant I prefer round!
could weld legs onto some box section steel if youd prefer square.
I dont think that transformer rail would make a nice ledge, youd be better off making your own.

Yh, round rails are more flexible, like you can do boardslides, and I can try to learn 50 50s, feebles etc. whereas that’s harder on a square rail.

Thanks, in the end I ordered a cheap round rail which is the same as my mate has. It’s a little bit light but should be able to weigh down the legs if necessary. I might have a go at building a ledge.

Square over round.

Only people who can’t skate round rails say that. Join the big boys.

Nah nah. Done one 50 on a round rail fuck that.

Don’t mind slides on them just grinds are scary.

Round better than square in every way.

I like double round rails, best of both. Great for locking feeble grinds.

Girders are good too, like a metal ledge that you can also boardslide.

Girder looks so weird written down.

My wife’s oma (she’s Dutch) is called Gerda.

The worst.

everything locks better on a round rail
I love a diagonal locked back 5050 though and know some people arent down

Yeah, looks good like this, same as on ramp.

Anyone up for some absurdly pointless end of year graphs based on this forum?
