Sick match!

Fernandez looks a bit like Sean Malto.

It’s come home!

Wow, what were the odds of this! Think of what people have gone through to even reach one final or even win one slam in an entire career and she’s done it at 18.

I won a Smarties Easter Egg after drawing the best picture of a castle aged 8 at school. I can totally understand how she’s feeling right now.

This is maybe not completely pointless but more a plea for help! I can’t seem to figure out how to post videos as all that ever appears the the link rather the video itself

Maybe only funny if you’ve ever been in sales or consulting but still

Post the URL (if you’re on mobile remove the ‘m’ from the url) wait till the video shows in preview and then post.

Hahah, Would have been amazing if the live feed cut to a close up of Fernadez just as that last ace went through, and the Curb theme tune started up.

Holy shit this is unbelievable:

I don’t know the backstory here. Does anyone know how they did this? It’s amazing.

Aye, its a great place. I believe it’s the old A82 road that was decommissioned in the early 1970’s and was just abandoned. Some of the locals uncovered the old road around about 2015/16 then started to dig it out and fix the road/clear out trees. I used to work up north and one of the locals that was apart of it told me about them digging it all out with shovels during that winter. Kinda mental how much they had to do just to get it going before they could build stuff.

It’s near the inverness park ( Bught Park) that concreate did which is one of the best parks in Scotland. Big fan of Inverness.

I couldn’t post the pictures directly from the Instagram page. These pictures are from when they started.

Incredible. Looks like a level in Skate or Skater XL

That’s just what Scottish roads look like. That’s actually one of the better ones.

How the fuck is an abandoned 40 year old road in the Highlands possibly skateable?! How did they know? Imagine digging all that out and realise its like trying to roll over a cheese grater.

This has just blown my mind in everyway. There must be multiple 1000s of man hours to get it where it is today.

They just re-tarmac’d it duh

Aye it’s can be pretty rough in parts of it but I have skated worse. Would of thought that 40 odd years of Scottish Highland winters would have made it not skateable, but I had no issues skating it with 53 or 52 mm wheels. And they have put down a bunch of concrete to smooth out other parts of it. I think some of the obstacles were damaged due to the weather last year and as you said they have properly put in 1000s of man hours to get it where it is today. One of the main guys Ally that runs that Insta page is very sound. Its mental how much they have shifted by hand whilst dealing with the weather and that.

I’m not sure how they found out about it but there is or were some mountain bike trails nearby. There are quite a few abandoned roads / military roads in the Highlands that folk have re-purposed for various different activities (mainly cycling or walking). Up there, you are that far away from anyone that no one really gives a fuck I think.

I mind seeing a mad DIY snowboard and mountain bike jumps / mega park creation near Achnahannet that had the corrugated metal from an abandoned farm as part of this 18-foot roll in. Isolation does that ha.

I’ve often worried wondered if it would be possible to live like a hermit up in the remote Highlands so that if you were discovered by he authorities would be too much of a cost and hazard to have you removed.
