I listened to a radio programme on that a few years ago and it sounds like it’s pretty creepy down there. Intriguing though for sure.
Documentary about the Paris catacombs abp by me a couple of years ago after it was mentioned in the Slam City Puleo interview.

What was the original purpose of the catacombs? How/why were they built?
Went to the underground city in Naples last year which was amazing. Especially when they talked about excavating loads of houses nearby as the city was actually raised a few metres. Weird it’s also in the dead centre of the city, to be somewhere so quick that seems so far from civilisation.
I went round the Paris catacombs for my birthday a few years back. Loads of skulls, well gothic 8/10 would recommend

As some of you know, I draw and tattoo some stuff.
Some guy I don’t know from Texas just PM’d me on Insta, he wants a drawing of his dog for his son and offers 300 dollars for this. He has a semi-weird Insta profile, only 1 pic, 173 followers, follows 113 people. Could be any boomer, could be a scammer.
What do I do? Ask for a 100 dollar deposit through PayPal? Is this risky? Ta.

as long as you’re happy with some random owning some of your art then i don’t see any risk. your paypal is safe and if he’s made the deposit then it’s all good

He just wants a drawing on a A3 sheet, there’s no tattooing involved.
So PayPal is safe you say?
paypal is pretty safe. i’ve sold tour posters worth hundreds to collectors in the US who are happy sending money before receiving goods. it’s fairly trusted internationally

Can’t beat Satie. I find the playlists on Spotify pretty good for finding new classical stuff – Baroque, serialism, early music – but I’d like more info on what I’m listening to. I end up cross-referencing everything on Wikipedia and not getting any work done. There are some good Guardian playlists from their ‘where to start with’ features on classical composers.
I made a playlist based on music from Werner Herzog films. He uses amazing classical stuff.

For the most part, I find Classic FM a bit too ‘here’s the theme from Harry Potter’ for the fifth time today. I prefer Radio 3, (as I seem to be morphing into a stuffy old bastard 
). A happy medium is Scala Radio. Mark Kermode’s show on Saturday is a good listen.

My house mate had a similar request a day after he put up his artwork on insta. Same sort of amount and wanted to pay through cash app but my housemate didn’t have that so they said PayPal .
They took my mates email to send the money but he received nothing and they were saying they had sent it send the art .
It was just a scam to get PayPal email address to log in etc.
